Have you ever walked through a bamboo forest? It is eerily serene, quiet and peaceful. The trees also have a sense of power and majesty. They are very very very tall. And, they are very thick and reproduce like crazy. Bamboo isn't native to Costa Rica, but the bamboo I found in Costa Rica this past February was making it self quite at home. I am longing to be back in this space again. This time I plan to spend more time there and soak it all in. It takes a few hours to hike up to this bamboo forest so I better start getting in shape.
